It was Surfs Up at Carly’s beachy Bat Mitzvah earlier this month. Proving she is as talented on land as she is in water, the sensational swimmer did a great job during her service at Temple Beth El. We loved how Carly stayed true to her affinity for aquatics — the entire family was dressed in hues of blue and she was stylish with nautical nail polish and a signature starfish necklace. Later in the day we caught a wave over to Celebrations by Turnip Rose where event décor by Formal Impressions got everyone in the Under the Sea spirit. Wet & Wild hair styling was arranged by Gail Pieter, and Carly loved making multi-colored mohawks for her brothers Harry and Tom. Friends & Family dove into the deep-end with playful poses in our Party Photo Studio and we had a blast hanging ten with Little Surfer Girl Carly on her big day!

Love was in full bloom at the wedding of Jennifer and David. There was not a cloud in the sky as we photographed the couple amidst the classic decor and beautiful gardens at the Four Seasons Westlake Village. Everything was coming up roses thanks to the romantic ambiance created by Kind Dahl Event Design. We enjoyed photographing the couple and their amazing familes and know their Happily Ever After will be a wonderful one!

What a sweet treat it was for us to be at Jessica & Tricia’s B’Not Mitzvah! The sisters shined during their service at Temple Beth El in Aliso Viejo and the festivities were double delicious at a candy-themed reception held at Celebrations by Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa.

We rocked out with Jake at his Bar Mitzvah! Following his service at Temple Aliyah family & friends got into the groove at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills. The reception was jamming thanks to band Word Of Mouth and DJ Check One 2 Entertainment….and because of Jake himself!

We set sail with Jack at his Bar Mitvah at Temple Aliyah. Alongside his crew (mom Julia, dad Mark, sister Bronté, and brother Elijah) he steered his service with style and sophistication. Passengers later left the dock with Captain Jack and joined his reception on a FantaSea Yacht. Check One 2 Entertainment provided the entertainment alongside MC Paris as everyone went fishin’ on the dance floor. The entire event was a special voyage for Jack’s family and friends, we had a blast being on board!

You may remember Jenna and Todd from their Malibu Engagement Portraits earlier this year. Now it’s time for the wedding! Rather than the typical Los Angeles ballroom wedding, Jenna and Todd wanted something different. They decided to go a bit south, to the Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa near San Diego. It’s a beautiful property with with a Spanish vibe and lots of greenery and open space.

Elissa and Richie selected an unusual location for their Jewish wedding. Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles is a decommissioned Catholic Church. It was heavily damaged in the famous Northridge Earthquake in 1994 and sat idle for quite some time. Eventually an investor came in, purchased property and rebuilt it for special events.

Introducing Joey! We started with early morning portraits at Temple Bat Yahm in Newport Beach, deep in Orange County. It’s a beautiful campus with great gardens and a mix of old and new architecture.

Introducing Baby Morgan! I’ve known her mommy, Stacy, for quite some time and even photographed her wedding. Morgan is a cute little bugger with a voracious appetite for hats and her favorite stuffed peacock, Jacque (who is French, naturally).

Max is nuts for baseball. Not just any baseball – the Dodgers. If you’ve been following sports recently, you’ll know it’s a challenging time for fans like Max. Why is baseball relevant in this blog post? Well, naturally Max has a Dodgers Themed Bar Mitzvah, of course!
We started photography with portraits at Adat Ari El Synagogue in North Hollywood. It’s a beautiful campus and it’s always fun to photograph here. Incidentally, it’s also where I went to preshool. Small world, right?
